Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (button or cremini)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 slice Swiss cheese
  • Fresh lettuce leaves
  • Burger bun (video)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
  2. Season beef patty with salt and pepper; cook until your preferred doneness.
  3. In a separate pan, sauté mushrooms with butter until golden brown and fragrant.
  4. Top the cooked patty with Swiss cheese and let it melt.
  5. Toast the burger bun lightly.
  6. Assemble: Spread mushrooms over the cheesy patty, add lettuce, and sandwich everything in the bun.
